دومین جلسه هیأت امنای کتابخانه مجلس در دوره جدید با حضور دکتر حسن قالیباف رئیس مجلس شورای اسلامی برگزار شد. این جلسه که دارای اهمیت به مراتب بیشتری نسبت به جلسه نخست بود، نشانه ای از اهمیت نهاد کتابخانه مجلس به عنوان یک نهاد فرهنگی و آموزشی در ایران است. به عنوان یک منبع گفتمان ملی، کتابخانه مجلس در طول سالها، اقدام به تدوین و گردآوری کتاب های تاریخی و فرهنگی از دست رفته کشور انجام داده است.
